Mackenzie

From intense anxiety to confidence and living her life purpose

“I just thought: I’m an anxious person and I’m just going to struggle with anxiety for the rest of my life.”

“I’m a completely different, more confident person today. I feel very hopeful for my future.”

From Intense Anxiety to Confidence & Living Her Life Purpose. Watch the full interview (1hr 22min).

The anxiety was not the whole problem. It was the thing blocking everything else. Beneath it was a life purpose Mackenzie could not yet see, a confidence she had not yet accessed, and a version of herself she could barely imagine.

She had carried anxiety for as long as she could remember. It had shaped every decision, limited every ambition, and quietly convinced her that this was simply who she was. She had learned to manage it, to work around it, but never to move past it. That was the ceiling she arrived at coaching with.

If any of this sounds familiar, start with a free 20-minute call.

Over five months of 1-2-1 life coaching with Adam, working across a two-year period, that began to shift. Not through anxiety management techniques or coping strategies, but through the deeper work of understanding what the anxiety was about, what it was protecting and what was actually true about her underneath it. Adam has spent over a decade helping people move past exactly this kind of ceiling, and has coached hundreds of clients worldwide, including more than 25 other professional life coaches.

The results were ones she had not expected to be possible. She became more confident, not as a performance but as a felt reality. She stopped identifying herself as an anxious person. She found her life purpose and began living it. She started vlogging and showing up regularly on camera, something that would have been genuinely unthinkable before the work began, including facing the fear of online criticism directly.

Mackenzie’s story matters not just because of where she ended up but because of what it demonstrates about anxiety. It is not a fixed trait. It is not who you are. It is almost always covering something that, once addressed, makes the anxiety unnecessary. That is what five months of real coaching can do. Without that shift, anxiety will dictate your ceiling and keep you smaller than you could be for the rest of your life.

Your Turn

Anxiety does not have to be your story.

Mackenzie did not expect to come out the other side of anxiety. She did. If her story resonates and you are ready to find out what is possible for you, start with one conversation.

Anxiety does not have to be permanent.

Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people come to life coaching, and one of the most misunderstood. Most anxiety-relief approaches focus on managing symptoms: breathing techniques, cognitive reframing, medication. These can help in the short term but they do not address the root. In Adam’s coaching the focus is on understanding what the anxiety is actually about, what it is protecting, and what becomes possible when that underlying issue is cleared. For most people, including Mackenzie, the anxiety is sitting on top of something much more interesting: a life purpose that has not yet been found, a self that has not yet been fully expressed, a way of living that has not yet been allowed.
