Why These Meditations Work

The 3 Benefits Most People
Don’t Expect From Meditation

Most people come to meditation for calm. These meditations deliver something more specific, and more useful, on your journey to finding your life purpose.

1

Turn Intuition Into a Superpower

Regular meditation sharpens your intuition, opens your heart and brings you into contact with the things, the life and the life purpose you truly want. Most people never tap into this capacity. These meditations change that.

2

Gain Clarity on Any Challenge

When you get still enough, answers arrive. Whether you are stuck on a decision, a direction or something in your life that is not working, regular meditation creates the stillness needed to receive genuine clarity.

3

Surface and Clear What Blocks You

Meditation reveals the fears and internal blockages standing between you and what you want, including your purpose, so they can be seen, felt and released. This is one of the most important and least talked-about benefits of a regular practice.

The Role of Meditation

Meditation is the key to finding your life purpose

For those new to finding their life purpose, meditation can seem a little out there. I used to think the same. But over years of working on myself and with hundreds of clients, I have found that it is genuinely central to the process.

Your life purpose does not arrive through thinking. It arrives through feeling, listening and receiving. Meditation is what makes that possible. The stiller you become, the more clearly you hear.

Opens your heart and deepens self-trust

The heart, not the head, is where purpose lives. Regular meditation brings you back into contact with it.

Reduces fear and mental noise

Fear and overthinking are the two biggest barriers to clarity on your life purpose. Meditation quiets both.

Accelerates your results in coaching

Clients who meditate regularly between sessions move faster and get considerably more from each session. The inner work compounds.

Build the Habit

Develop a daily meditation practice

To get the full benefit, aim to meditate every day for a minimum of ten minutes, but five will do if you are in a rush. Meditating at the same time each day helps build the habit and deepens the quality of your practice, but if you forget one day doing it later is better than not at all.

If you have struggled with meditation before, start with the introduction to breath-based meditation. The approach in it has helped many of my clients embrace and even enjoy meditating for the first time.

Once you have a stable daily practice, rotate in the guided meditations below as and when you feel drawn to them.

Questions

Frequently asked meditation questions

If you have a question not covered here, feel free to get in touch.

Do I need experience to use these meditations?

No experience is necessary. The introduction to breath-based meditation is specifically designed for people who have struggled with meditation before, or who are coming to it for the first time. Start there and build from it.

How often should I meditate?

Ideally every day, for a minimum of ten minutes, but even five would be great. Meditating at a similar time each day helps build the habit and deepens the benefits.

How long will it take to find my life purpose through meditation?

A lucky few receive a clear sense of their life purpose quickly. For most people it unfolds gradually over weeks or months of regular practice. The meditations here are designed to start the process and keep it moving, not to deliver a single answer in one sitting. As a life purpose coach I can tell you that most people are going to need to work on themselves as well as just doing meditation to find their life purpose. The reason is that strong foundations are required to build something bigger

Which meditation should I start with?

If you are new to meditation, or have struggled with meditation in the past, start with the introduction to breath-based meditation and use it as your daily practice. Once you feel comfortable with that, move on to the life purpose meditation and work through the library from there.

Can I use these meditations alongside coaching?

Absolutely. These meditations are part of the Hero Process and are designed to work in parallel with coaching. Clients who meditate regularly between sessions consistently get more from their work and move forward faster. If you are not yet working with Adam, a free discovery call is a good place to start.

What is the best time of day to meditate?

Morning is the best time for most people, and it is the time I recommend. Your mind is quieter before the day has loaded it with noise, decisions and other people’s energy. Meditating first thing also means it actually gets done, rather than being bumped by everything else that comes up. That said, the best time is the time you will consistently show up for. If mornings genuinely do not work for your life, an evening practice is far better than no practice at all. The key is the same time each day, not the perfect time. Many people find that a morning meditation sets them up better for the day.

What do I do when my mind wanders during meditation?

Notice it, and come back. That is the entire practice.

The moment you realise your mind has wandered is not a failure, it is the meditation working because your awareness caught the distraction. You are building the muscle of awareness, and that muscle only gets stronger by being used. Most beginners think a good meditation is one where the mind stays still. It is not. A good meditation is one where you keep returning. The number of times you come back matters far more than the number of times you drift. Do not judge yourself for it. Just return.

How do I know if my meditation is working?

The changes tend to show up in your life before they show up in the meditation itself. You notice you are a little less reactive. That you feel calmer. Something that would normally have set you off does not. You might sleep slightly better. A decision that felt impossible starts to feel clearer. You might feel, gradually, more like yourself. Different people experience different benefits and some people do not feel much change at all. In the sessions themselves, the signal is usually a growing sense of stillness or spaciousness, even if it only lasts a moment. If you are showing up consistently and nothing is shifting after three or four weeks, it is worth looking at which meditation you are using and whether it is the right one for where you are right now. In the long run you will suddenly notice that your intuition has got much better, which is always a good thing, but it is a gradual process and a slow one.
